I'm feeling great! Wed, 29 Feb 2012 07:00:00 Tue, Feb 28, 2012 http://sflo1822.fastrunningblog.com/blog-02-28-2012.html Today I did Insanity Max Interval Plyo and I ran and I feel great! Tue, 28 Feb 2012 07:00:00 Fri, Feb 10, 2012 http://sflo1822.fastrunningblog.com/blog-02-10-2012.html I just ran 3.58 miles in 35 mins. Not too shabby if I do say so myself. I haven't been running this week because I was doing Insanity but i just found out that one of my DVD's skipped so I couldn't do one of them today so I opted for running. I want to get to the point where I can run in the morning and do my Insanity in the same day. I'm wondering if that might be too much for my body so soon but I figured I have to at least try it first to see how I feel. Today during my run I got the most random pain on the side of my right foot but that went away about five or seven mins into my run. Then I had the feeling like I was going to get a side cramp  but I just focused on my breathing and it never hit me hard. Finally during mins 12 through 25 I just kept visualizing myself doing well in the LA marathon... ok not just doing well... I won that thing HA! Of course that's just a dream but hey, visualizing yourself doing great is a good thing in my book! It actually had me smiling big during my run! Overall a good run today.  Fri, 10 Feb 2012 07:00:00 Wed, Feb 08, 2012 http://sflo1822.fastrunningblog.com/blog-02-08-2012.html Today I did Max Plyometric and man did it just kick my butt! I couldn't even jump towards the end of the video! I am going to be so sore tomorrow it's not even funny! But at least Igot a good one  hour of interval circuit training! Wed, 08 Feb 2012 07:00:00 Mon, Feb 06, 2012 http://sflo1822.fastrunningblog.com/blog-02-06-2012.html Today I started month two of Insanity to get my circuit/interval training in. I've completed month one several times, and with my three weeks of running I figured I could go ahead and finally start month two. Man I'm sooo tired but not exhausted if that makes any sense.  I think my having ran for three weeks gave me some good lungs because I didn't feel dizzy or lightheaded at all. I completed Max Interval Circuit today and that was 1 hour long. Tomorrow I'm going to run and continue with month two of insanity! Mon, 06 Feb 2012 07:00:00 Fri, Feb 03, 2012 http://sflo1822.fastrunningblog.com/blog-02-03-2012.html Today I woke up at 7am! YAY! I felt a bit sluggish and definitely sore from yesterdays run! My whole body was sore! It felt like I had done push ups and crunches along with my run! My left hamstring is tugging a bit but it's not too bad. It could be due from my lack of stretching so I need to start incorporating that into my routine. I actually ate breakfast again at a reasonable hour and I'm starting to eat every 3 hours so that's good. Today I just did a short recovery run just to get my legs stretched out a bit. I only ran for 20 mins which wasn't much but I maintained the speed on the TM at about 6.2. Overall I feel great today! Fri, 03 Feb 2012 07:00:00 Thu, Feb 02, 2012 http://sflo1822.fastrunningblog.com/blog-02-02-2012.html Well today has definitely been a productive day! I woke up at 6am (shocker!) and I actually didn't fall back asleep. I did some homework, bought some groceries, ate breakfast, and cleaned out my pool all before noon! Normally I'd be waking up at noon! And to top off this fabulous day... I actually ran in the daytime! Not around 11pm like I normally do; today I ran at 1:45pm! I ran for 45 mins and I'm still in week three of getting back into the groove of running. I did push myself a bit more and I completed 4.2 miles (yaaaay). It looked like I was running about a 10:15min/mile... not too shabby if I do say so myself. I will say though, I was getting a lot of small pains throughout my run. I did push through them today and they would go away but then it would come back. The pain that I'm most concerned about through is the pain on the back of both my ankles. I have a strong feeling that it's due to my running shoes and I may need extra support. I can't remember when was the last time I bought a pair of running shoes, but the pair I have now I've had for 3 years. I haven't replaced them because I haven't been doing any serious running but I think I will have to replace them soon. Other than that I'm quite proud of myself today! Thu, 02 Feb 2012 07:00:00 Wed, Feb 01, 2012 http://sflo1822.fastrunningblog.com/blog-02-01-2012.html Today I wasn't sore which was great! I've noticed that while I seem to be getting 8 hours or so of sleep, I am falling asleep ridiculously late and I have to cut that out! Last night I fell asleep at 3am and woke up at 11:30am! My internal "sleeping-ness" is all crazy right now and that has got to change! I should strive for at least falling asleep at midnight that way I can wake up at 8am. Meanwhile my goal of not buying fast food has gone out the window this week :( On Sunday evening I went to TGI Fridays with some coworkers and had a maragrita, breadsticks, nachos, and wings! I think my body was pissed from the lack crap food I didn't give it last week.  I also went on Monday night to BJ's with a friend and there I have pizza, pasta, and two beers! Then yesterday, I went to eat a Maggiano's with my sisters where I ate more pasta, but had a strawberry lemonade. And today I had Maggiano's left overs! This has been by far the crappiest eating week ever! Granted all the places technically don't count as fast food because in my opinion what counts as fast food is anything with a drive up window but still... that has been shit eating!  Wed, 01 Feb 2012 07:00:00 Tue, Jan 31, 2012 http://sflo1822.fastrunningblog.com/blog-01-31-2012.html Today I ran 3.30 miles according to my TM in 40 mins. It felt great! I essentially ran for 30 mins though because the first ten mins were spent just getting my body into running mode, but after that I was running ok! I will say though that about 35 mins into my run I started feeling these two weird pains. The first pain was on my left ankle near the tendon area. It was like this slight, sort of throbbing pain. I have twisted this particular ankle when running in the past. The second pain was on my right knee. That was a bit more sharp. I haven't felt any sort of pain like that while running, so it could be the extra 10 mins added to this run. In any case I did start to run/walk to stop the pain. I hope that by running 40 mins from now on, my body will adapt to it and then I can start running for longer periods of time. Other than that, I'm quiet proud of myself! Tue, 31 Jan 2012 07:00:00 Sun, Jan 29, 2012 http://sflo1822.fastrunningblog.com/blog-01-29-2012.html Today I walked with my best friend for an hour at Balboa Park! It was just a beautiful day and I loved being able to stretch out my legs after last night's run! Also, Today I made myself eat breakfast within the hour of waking up! That makes me really happy :) Sun, 29 Jan 2012 07:00:00
